Youth 2019 event

Youth2019 event in Turku 27.-28.3.2019

Allianssi gathers national partners and organises an annual large scale conference for the entire youth work field, involving Finnish youth workers, youth organisations, youth researchers and decision-makers.

The two day programme consists of a wide variety of current topics in youth work and gathers about 1500 Finnish and international youth workers to discuss, evaluate, innovate and develop the work among young people. This year the conference "Youth2019" was held 27.-28.3.2019 in Turku.

Youth2019

This time we provided also seminar programme in English, enabling the international organisations and youth workers to learn more about the Finnish youth work, to share best practices, experiences and youth work methods, discuss and network with Finnish and other European colleagues. We aimed at deepening co-operation and developing new projects and ideas within the field.

The English programme included an update on current European issues such as European Solidarity Corps and other important topics such as social inclusion, youth work innovations, youth participation and advocacy, youth research etc.

We were happy to invite international participants to meet Finnish youth workers in "Youth 2019" conference and share the best youth work practices. The event was open for anyone working with young people whether it was in an organisation, municipality, government, parish, school, youth house or research institute. The event was an excellent chance to network, learn about the latest youth work trends and innovations as well as to share your best practices.

In addition to the two day conference the international participants had a possibility to visit some unique examples of local youth work and had one optional day in the end to evaluate the event together with other international participants as well as discuss the dissemination and future co-operation possibilities.
