Transportation by ferry, so don't be late! 

Please note that it might be cold and windy at sea, so dress appropriately. 

There is no dress code, but there is time to change before the departure. The roads at Suomenlinna are made from cobblestone, so high heels will be a risk.

The Youth League of the Finnish Norden Association welcomes you to join our 'Baltic Sea'- cruise. Learn about our beloved Baltic Sea and get tips for sustainable actions to influence its future! 

The Baltic Sea is facing many challenges. Pollution, climate change, waste management - just to name a few. The Baltic Sea is a common sea, cities and countries have together brought upon the challenges and now need to solve the, together. But what exactly can we do?

During he cruise we will hear a short discussion of the shores around the Baltic and their pollution, waste management and foremost, what actions are to be done now. Seppo Knuuttila, Senior Research Scientist, Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE), will speak on the topic together with Vivian Ljungqvist, the chairman of Helsinki Youth Council.

Practical info:

The cruise starts from Kauppatori at 13.30 and will be back at Kauppatori at 15.30. Please arrive at 13.15 at latest.

Coffee and cinnamon buns will be served.

The delegates to the conference will be allowed a free entrance to three major museums in Helsinki with the conference badge. No transportation is provided, but all three venues are close to the city center.
